I'm long overdue for a post!
I don't have much to report as far as Spain goes. I've returned after Christmas break. Going home was amazing. It was so nice to be able to see family and friends, eat american food, watch American tv, sleep in American beds, wash and dry my clothes properly, etc, etc. Nothing like a long trip abroad to open your eyes and make you appreciate the place you live and the people you know. I was scheduled to be home until January 11th but the Iberia pilots ended up having a strike that day, so I was rescheduled and returned on the 14th. I'm finally settled back in here in Spain. It was terribly difficult leaving behind friends and family again. Being home for so long allowed me to get settled back in. For my first few days here in Spain, I wasn't quite sure what I was doing or why I was even here. But now I'm back on track and remember that I have a purpose here. This is something I want and need for my future.
In other news, I've planned a trip to Dublin for my birthday! I can't wait. I'm headed there with my roommate and one of her friends. We plan to visit the Guinness factory, the Jameson distillery and St. Patrick's cathedral. Right now it's pretty cold there, I imagine the same as the weather in Ohio. But hopefully in another month it will warm up. I hope to see lots of green while I'm there!
I wish I had more to update but there really isn't much else to say just yet. I've spent the last two weeks building my grocery stash back up, getting back into a routine, and visiting the shops :) Lately they have been full of the 'after Christmas' and 'end of winter' sales. Nothing like a little retail therapy to put me back into a good mood here in Spain.
