Finally made it

We arrived into Huelva Monday afternoon around 3 o'clock. It took two flights, two bus rides, and two taxi rides but after that we finally made it to our hotel. I'm sure much of Spain was able to get a good laugh out of watching us haul huge 50 pound suitcases in and out of stations, buses, taxis, etc. It felt so good to finally walk through the doors into our hotel room and be able to drop all of our luggage.

After dropping off all of our suitcases, we went to try out our first Spanish restaurant. One mustard chicken breast, one order of 'spicy' potatoes, and one order of  cured ham later, we realized it's going to take us a little while really long time to get used to the food. And to get used to the Spanish schedule. All the businesses are closed from 2 to 4 for siesta. Which made it difficult to run the many needed errands today after waking up at noon - thanks to some jet lag.

Monday afternoon, better know as evening in the states (here in Spain the 'afternoon' lasts until the sun goes down) we began our search for an apartment. After 2 days and many hours of walking, searching, translating and failure..we have finally found an apartment! It's a nice three bedroom right on the outskirts of the Huelva center. The company we rented from was super nice and we were able to get a 9 month lease so that we don't have to worry about renting out the apartment when we leave. We're super excited to move in to the new place tomorrow and to stop living out of our suitcases.

Our new home:

It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and just received a huge makeover including a new kitchen, bathrooms, windows, etc.

Tomorrow should be filled with many more errands and then the big move to the new place from the hotel!
